MAG Box Installation

Complete guide for configuring MAG 254, MAG 256 and other MAG boxes with KING IPTV portal. Professional setup for the best experience.

Before You Start

Important preparations for MAG box installation

Register MAC Address

You need to add your MAG box MAC address in your KING IPTV dashboard under "ADD MAG" before you start.

Tip: The MAC address can be found on a label on the back of your MAG box or in the system information.

Network Connection

Connect your MAG box to the internet via Ethernet cable for best performance and stability.

Recommendation: Always use wired connection for MAG boxes instead of WiFi.

Important Notes

  • • These instructions assume a completely new or reset MAG box
  • • If your box was used with another provider: go to Settings → Go To Inner Portal first
  • • MAG 256 skips certain steps automatically (marked in the guide)
  • • We have no instructions for MAG 250, but the process is similar

Installation Steps

Follow these steps carefully to configure your MAG box

Open System Settings

  • • Go to Settings on the main menu
  • • Select System Settings

Update Software (Skip for MAG 256)

  • • Go down to Software Update
  • • Press OK then the Red button to update
  • • Wait a few minutes while the box updates
  • • The box will restart automatically when the update is complete

MAG 256: This model updates software automatically at startup.

Return to System Settings

  • • After restart, go to SettingsSystem Settings again

Configure Video (Skip for MAG 256)

  • • Go to Video
  • • Change to 1080p and 1920×1080
  • • Press OK and go back

MAG 256: This model detects video settings automatically.

Configure Servers

  • • Go to Servers
  • • Select General
  • • Enter pool.ntp.org
  • • Press OK and go back

Configure Portal

  • • Press Portals
  • • On the first portal, enter the following:
Portal Name: kingiptv.store
Portal URL: mag.kingiptv.iptv.uno/c/
  • • You don't need to fill in anything for other portals
  • • Press OK to save and go back

Set Timezone

  • • Go to Advanced Settings
  • • Change timezone to America/New_York
  • • This is required for EPG to work correctly
  • • Press OK to save

Restart the Box

  • • Go back until you reach the main menu
  • • The box will say it needs to restart for new settings
  • • Let it restart automatically
  • • After restart you will enter KING IPTV's Portal

Optimize Buffer Settings

  • • Before you start watching, do a final optimization
  • • Go right until you reach Settings
  • • Select Advanced Settings
  • • Change Buffer Size from 0 to 15
  • • Go down the list and press OK

Done! Now you can start watching TV with optimal performance.

Troubleshooting

Solutions to common problems with MAG boxes

Portal Won't Load

  • • Check that the MAC address is registered in dashboard
  • • Verify portal URL: mag.kingiptv.iptv.uno/c/
  • • Check internet connection
  • • Restart the MAG box
  • • Contact support if the problem persists

Channels Buffering

  • • Increase Buffer Size to 15-20 in Advanced Settings
  • • Use Ethernet cable instead of WiFi
  • • Check internet speed stability
  • • Turn off other devices using high bandwidth
  • • Contact your internet provider for continued problems

EPG Not Showing

  • • Check that timezone is set to America/New_York
  • • Wait 24 hours for EPG data to load
  • • Restart the MAG box
  • • Check internet connection
  • • Contact support for EPG-related problems

Box Freezing

  • • Restart the box by unplugging the power cable
  • • Wait 30 seconds before plugging back in
  • • Check that the box has sufficient ventilation
  • • Update to the latest software version
  • • Factory reset if the problem persists

Factory Reset

If you need to reset your MAG box to factory settings, all settings will be erased.

You must then follow this installation guide from the beginning to configure the box again.
